“Youth in Politics”

Teen Mindset Magazine had the honor of interviewing Piyush Sharma from India. In this short interview he shares his perspective on youth involvement in politics & what drew him to get involved himself. We love to see youth across the globe sharing their perspectives with our magazine!

Why did you become interested in politics?

There is this thing in me which pulled me in this area to serve the common man. Politics is a medium for me to do public service. When there is a feeling of public service in the mind, coming to the public sector is the best option to fulfill it.

Why are young voices in politics important?

Our country is a country of youth. The youth are representing the country in every field. For this reason, it is necessary for the youth to come forward in politics and represent the country. Youth are both the future and the present of the country. If the future of the country is to be made better, then it is necessary for the youth to enter politics.

How can youth be more effective in politics?

Youth should not only depend on the government but they should make their own way. If they can understand the problems of society and solve them, then surely the youth will be more effective in politic. If the youth get educated and enter politics, they will further be able to leave their mark in the country and society.

Final Thoughts?

I would like to tell all the young colleagues that they should definitely get into politics so that they can participate in the development of the country. To strengthen the democracy of the country, it also becomes necessary that the youth should step into politics.
